Operational Procedures & Costs:

1) Operational Procedures:

1.1) Procedures to be followed to ship the "boat" and "boat materials" by ocean shipment:

1.1.1) 1st date to ship:

 

  • 1st date to delivery the boat at Barcelona warehouse is Sept 30th . Estimate date to arrive in Rio is Nov 5th.

  • DFX need to receive a write confirmation of each participant/sailor which will ship the boat on the above date and who will be the financial responsible for the operation - until Sept 15th.

  • Each participant/sailor should fill a "proforma invoice" and "packing list" forms as models attached. After did it, DFX must receive the 2 forms copies until Sept 20th in order to avoid any future documentation problem, delay to release the boat and extra fine at brazilian custom.

1.1.2) 2nd date to ship:

  • 2nd date to delivery the boat at Barcelona warehouse is Dec 1st. Estimate date to arrive in Rio is Jan 10th.

  • DFX need to receive a write confirmation of each participant/sailor which will ship the boat on the above date and who will be the financial responsible for the operation - until Nov 15th.

Each participant/sailor should fill a "proforma invoice" and "packing list" forms as models attached. After did it, DFX must receive the 2 forms copies until Nov 20th in order to avoid any future documentation problem, delay to release the boat and extra fine at brazilian custom.

  • It’s very important to inform to DFX if any "boat goods" is scheduled to be included in the shipment, because the admission process in Brazil will be different for "boat goods". So, let DFX knows mentioning in "packing list" form any "boat goods" which is planning to ship with each boat, in order to avoid any future problem, delay to release the goods and extra fine at brazilian custom.

1.2) Procedures to be followed for DBA (declaration of accompanied baggage):

 

  • Each passenger/sailor should inform 72h before flight date, the following details: passenger name, passaport copy, baggage packing list, flight number, airline and arrival date.

  • During the flight, each passenger will receive a brazilian form called "DBA", it means "declaration of accompanied baggage", which should be filled 2 forms inputting the correct information as previously advised to Brazil.

  • After take the baggage in Rio de Janeiro airport, each passenger should presented to Brazilian custom for inspection. At each arrival our staff will be waiting at brazilian custom.

  • After inspection, each passenger must keep the "DBA" form stamped by brazilian custom, as it should be required by brazilian custom when leaving Brazil.

  • Please be informed that medicine and food stuffs are not allowed to entry in Brazil as baggage.

 

2) Costs & Financial Procedures:

2.1) Costs involved on temporary admission operation by ocean shipment:

  • For boat - Barcelona IN Rio and Rio OUT Barcelona: EUR 2.200.00/boat/sailor

  • For extra "boat goods" - Barcelona IN Rio: EUR 175.00 W/M

  • Coordination at Rio de Janeiro airport for DBA (declaration of accompanied baggage) during arrival in Rio: EUR 140.00/passenger

  • Minimum of 4 boats/container.

  • Warehouse in Brazil of 5 (five) days, after this period the cost is due to participant/sailor account.

  • Free time demurrage in Brazil of 7 (seven) days, after this period the cost is due to participant/sailor account.

  • Due to the Carnival holidays, all boats should be loaded into container and shipped back to Barcelona until March 10th. After this period any extra cost is due to participant/sailor in reference.

    2.2) Financial conditions and procedures:

    • The total estimated cost involved for each boat and for extra boat goods should be totally paid until Sept 25th for 1st date/shipment and until Nov 25th for 2nd date/shipment.
